Yes. Okteto installs into a cluster you own and control. Any managed Kubernetes works: EKS, GKE, AKS or even bare metal. Will this multiply our infrastructure costs? No. You decide per task whether an environment gets full isolation or deploys only the services being changed and routes the rest to shared instances. Idle environments scale to zero and are cleaned up automatically. Does it work with the coding agent we already use? Yes. Okteto works with any coding agent, and especially well with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and Copilot Can we run our test suites in these environments? Yes. Suites run against real services and real data in the environment, not against mocks. Can I upgrade later? Yes.
